Hand drawn menu that was thought to be for an Easter Tea at St. George's Church. It may have been drawn either by Mrs.Frederick Farncomb (Jane Robson 1826-1905) or her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Alfred Farncomb (Hannah Mary Coldwell 1864-1935).
We are excited to have received this lighter that originally came from the Karl Weyrich Wood Speciality store of Newcastle. Mr.Weyrich built a variety of wood products like office desks, chairs, tables, but the company specialized in radio and television cabinets. The store was built in 1946 (beside and behind where the CIBC is now). This would have been a promotional gift that his store gave away at one time.
